Great Latitudes is a website I developed to showcase the products & services offered by me as a TPI Affiliate. Travel Professionals International (TPI) was founded in 1994 by Morris Chia and is recognized as a premier provider of global corporate and leisure travel services. TPI’s unique coast to coast network of over 800 Associates offer customers the personalized service of dealing directly with the business owner, while reaping the valued savings of TPI’s exceptional buying power. The Travel Industry Council of Ontario is an organization mandated by the Ontario government to administer the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002 which governs all of the approximately 3,000 travel retailers and travel wholesalers registered in Ontario. In addition, TICO administers an industry-financed Travel Compensation Fund. “Subject to the Regulation, the Fund provides reimbursement of monies paid to an Ontario registered travel agent for travel services that are not provided due to the bankruptcy or insolvency of an Ontario registrant or an end supplier airline or cruise line, where a reimbursement has not otherwise been provided. As long as the consumer has dealt through a registered Ontario travel retailer, a claim may be filed against the Compensation Fund for the non-provision of travel services, even if payment was made directly to the travel supplier via credit card.” tico.ca To find out more about TICO, its services and the consumer protection available from the Compensation Fund, please |
